Spring Half Term Holiday Events

Half Term Mon 30th May to Wed 1st June

We have an exciting few days of golfing activities to look forward to this half term. We have a new Matchplay event for for our regular players plus three full days of coaching for beginners, improvers and experienced golfers.

Mini Matchplay Tournament – Tues 31st May

This will take care on the Par 3 course and is open to members and non members with either a WHS handicap or Par 3 handicap. This will be played over one day (originally planned for two). Each junior will play three matchplay rounds on the par 3. It’s a knockout competition but if you get knocked out you still play in the pay off matches to determine your overall position.

It’s an ideal opportunity for members (and visitors) to hone their matchplay skills over what should be a fun and exciting two days!

There will be a limit of just eight players so the format works. Please book early to reserve your place.

Cost is ยฃ10 plus your applicable green fees where required
Approx 9.00am to 4.00pm


Monday 30th May – Experienced Juniors Day

A morning playing on the Par 3 followed by 9 holes on the main course in the afternoon. Ideal for juniors who are already competent on the Par 3 course and are starting to play or are already playing on the 18 hole golf course.

All juniors should be competent to now play on the main course. (Should have a WHS, Par 3 handicap or equivalent.

The day will with start off with a warm up on driving range and short game area before moving onto the Par 3 course. There will be a break for lunch, followed by some chipping challenges and then onto the main course for nine holes. Coaching advice and guidance throughout with our PGA Golf Professionals.

Time: 9.30am to 5.00pm
Cost: ยฃ40 (plus applicable green for non members)


Tuesday 31st May – Beginner and Improvers Day

Open to all juniors, a whole day of fun games and activities to develop those golfing skills. We will be on the range, short game area and putting green and maybe a few holes on the Par 3 too!

Hosted by our PGA Professionals we will be covering all areas of golf keeping it exciting, fun and interesting through the day.

Please bring a packed lunch or money to buy something at the club house, maybe a selection of snacks and drinks to keep the energy up!

No worries if you don’t have your own clubs yet, we have some to borrow.

Time: 9.00am-3.30pm
Cost ยฃ40 per person


Wednesday 1st June – Improver/intermediate Day

A day for all juniors who have prior golf experience and are competent to play the par 3 golf course unaided. There will be a morning and afternoon round on the Par 3 course under the supervision of our PGA Golf Professionals.

There will some short game challenges and fun games mixed in too!

Please bring a packed lunch and snacks and/or some money to buy food in the clubhouse.

Time: 9.00am-3.30pm
Cost ยฃ40 per person

‘October’ Par 3 Final Results

It was a perfect day for the finale of the 2020 Carrot Recruitment Par 3 Order of Merit, blues skies and sunshine all the way!

Congratulations to Oscar Sahota on his first win with an impressive score of nett 21. Eli Manion was a close 2nd and another one shot behind was Cruz Norton.

The 2020 Carrot Recruitment Order of Merit was decided too, a big congratulations to Ricky Mohun our 2020 champion!

Hopefully next year we be back to our normal full calendar, full of amazing golf, prizes , presentations and smiles!

Par 3 September Medal Results

Congratulations to Piotr Paszcza winning the September Monthly Medal. It was a close one as usual and Piotr won by just one shot.

It was a mixed day of weather, sunshine and downpours were the order of the day. Hope you have all dried out now!

The CarrotRecruitment Order of Merit is reaching a climax with just one event to go. There are a number of players in contention for the win and even more for a top three placing. We have some trophies for the top three kindly provided by Martin Anderson at Carrot Recruitment.

The final is on Sunday 27th September, don’t miss this one!

Par 3 August Medal Results

It was another great turnout for this months competition. Brilliant to see so many playing in our Covid friendly comps.

It was super close at the top again, Jeremy took the honours by way of a 6 hole count back! Second win of the season. He’s on fire!!

We have a now Order of Merit Leader and its all to play for with just two competitions remaining. Full results below:
