par 3 Monthly Medal Competitions
The Par 3 Medals are the perfect experience for both new golfers and the experienced junior young golfer. Meet fellow juniors, compete and have fun. All in the confines of the friendly par 3 course at Styal.
There are bags of prizes and trophies to win at every competition. Ages are typically from 7 to 14 and we welcome all boys, girls, members and non members alike.

Par 3 Majors
We have our very own version of The Masters, The Open and The Ryder Cup! All the thrills, fun and excitement of the majors taking place on the Par 3 course.
The Masters and The Open work much in the same way as the monthly medals. The Ryder Cup is an invitational event. Players will receive an invitation nearer the time.

18 Hole Competitions

These events are a mixture of formats over 9 and 18 holes. They are open to all juniors members and non-members who have an official club WHS handicap.
Juniors are also welcome to play in all of the adult competitions as long as you are playing with at least one adult in the group. Plenty of opportunity to get that handicap down!
GolfSixes
GolfSixes is a new fun, short and exciting format of junior competition aimed at beginner golfers (pre 36 handicap). The initiative was the brainchild of England golf and the GolfSixes European Tour Event.
It’s a fun team game in the low pressured format of Texas Scramble. Each season there will be a squad of twelve players representing Styal Golf Club over eight matches at four Cheshire venues.
Junior 9’s
Junior 9’s is a new league that is designed to follow on from the success of GolfSixes. It’s still a relatively quick format played over 9 holes in a pairs format for juniors with official CONGU handicaps between 26 and 45.

Team Matches
We have had lots of success in the junior team matches, always plenty of on form juniors to chose and all keen to represent the club.
Styal Juniors take part part in the Mid-Cheshire Junior League (MCJL) and the Manchester BMW Championship.

‘Lads’ vs ‘Dads’ Charity Day
Our annual finale to the season raising money for ‘Kidneys for Life‘. It’s always a great fun day and all for a great cause!
It’s played on the par 3, short game area and the front 9 of the 18 hole golf course. It’s open to everyone too!
