GolfSixes is a new format of junior competition aimed at beginner golfers (pre 36 handicap). The idea is to provide a fun, short and exciting series of competitions.
The Cheshire League has four teams which play in a league over the summer, June to September. There are eight matches played over the four venues.
- Styal Golf Club
- Mottram Hall Golf Club
- Macclesfield Golf Club
- Congleton Golf Club
The format is Texas scramble played in pairs over 6 shortened holes (or the par 3 course at Styal).
Each club has a squad of 12 players of which 6 play at each competition.

GolfSixes follows in the footsteps of the new European Tour Event which made its debut in 2017. It’s a shorter quicker and more exciting format held over just two days. Each two-man/lady team represent their county.

Places are offered via invitation to Styal Juniors who fall into the correct level of playing ability and are regular attendees on the coaching/playing programme. Watch this space for upcoming events!
