Testimonials

“I am privileged to have grown up involved in the fantastic facilities at Styal. Mark and the Cheshire Academy Team do a great job nurturing young talented golfers through the coaching programme. They provide great opportunities to compete, a vital ingredient that has got me where I am today”,
David Horsey, PGA European Tour Winner.

“It is very difficult to summarise in just a few words how ‘brilliant’ the junior set up is at Styal!

From the basic coaching at the start, to the development of junior golfers taking on adults in competitions. We have been so impressed how it is assisted in our son ‘growing up’, developing confidence, Interacting with people and making new friends as well as enjoying the game.

We cannot recommend the club highly enough. Many Thanks.”
Gary and Sue.

“From my point of view I think it’s professional, friendly, well organised, fun and gives the children a skill that will last a lifetime!”
Andy Blackburn

“My Son has been part of Styal golf junior academy for about 4 years now. The coaching is outstanding and the support through each coaching level has been excellent. The facilities are of the highest standard with an incredible 9 hole Par 3. There are numerous competitions throughout the season on both the Par 3 and the main course. They are great fun with some amazing trophies at the after match presentations. His golf has developed well through expert coaching and he now plays on the 18 hole main course in numerous junior competitions and is also a member of the Junior Team. It is a great place for him to spend his time in a safe and welcoming environment.”
Andrew Nevins

The Junior section of Styal Golf Club provides an excellent environment for young golfers. Dedicated, patient and friendly coaches help motivate young golfers to practice and improve, whilst numerous competitions help youngsters to self assess the results of their efforts. Over the last 6 to 7 years, my son has benefited a lot from this structured approach.
Dr. R. Anand

“My son has been receiving coaching from Styal golf club for over 5 years and absolutely loves it. The junior section is about the best you can find and the staff have worked really hard to build it up. The teaching is great with many levels to develop the kids all the way. We particularly enjoy the handicapped competitions with the leader board tracking and seeing my son win several trophies has made it all worthwhile. He now has a full membership and spends all his holidays on the course with the other juniors. Thank you.”
Michael Kenyon

“The Par 3 competitions have been a great introduction to competitive golf for my son and daughter. They are superbly organised and great fun!”
Andrew James

2012 was a year not to forget here at Styal and a true reflection of how the Academy produces promising golfers.

If we were to say that golf was a results business then who could argue with our achievements in 2012 as we gracefully collected the following honours.

The junior team won the Williams BMW knock-out tournament the most prestigious team tournament in the North West of England.

Natalie Lowe defended her title and became the 2012 Cheshire ladies Champion for the second year running. James Mccormick became the 2012 Cheshire men’s Champion and Charlotte leathem became the Cheshire Girls Champion.”
